This free-form product photography project was a collaboration between me, my long-term client Brainyard Inc. and Tone Lounge Guitars. I was given free license to choose models, locations and ideas as I saw fit, and came up with a playful, color-filled album at the end of the week. They loved my take on their product and have used many of the photos in nationally-run advertisements and on their website.
I was honored to be Amy and Adam's photographer from start to finish. We shot their engagement photos in Laguna Beach, and it was only a few short months later that I was shooting their wedding in San Lois Obispo. This was one of the most fun weddings I've ever been a part of, and I loved the beautiful vineyard and barn setting that they chose for their ceremony and reception. It's always fun to be a part of a couple's special day, but sometimes it's more than that, and this was one of those times.
The Fano Guitar project was a collaboration between myself, longtime client Brainyard Inc., and artisan guitar company Fano. I was given a number of guitars and a week to photograph them in a variety of situations that would illustrate the diverse appeal of handcrafted instruments and the California spirit in which they were created. The client was impressed, and I was hired again for a similar project for Tone Lounge Guitars as a result of this project's success.
I was honored to be the photographer for Jason and Beckie's engagement photos in Venice, CA and also to cover their big day in Santa Barbara. We had a great time experimenting with different styles, capturing great moments, and exploring the beautiful locations they chose.
From editorial fashion, to senior photos, to family pictures, to engagement shoots.... I strive to capture my subjects in a vibrant and exciting manner. I love to see someone's personality shine through in a photo, and to capture a beautiful fleeting moment that will never occur again.
I have been working on an ongoing series of Fairytale images for several years. The idea is to showcase real-life versions of the "princesses" or heroines we see in children's fairy tales or Disney movies. So far I've shot Pocahontas, Little Red Riding Hood, Little Miss Muffet, and Alice. I hope to finish the series in the future by adding The Little Mermaid, Elsa, Goldilocks and several others.
I have been lucky enough to see the Rolling Stones live in Anaheim, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Orlando and Nashville. My mom saw them for the first time in 1967 and has been a fan ever since, so I've gotten to tag along and experience some amazing rock history in the making. I had the opportunity to meet the band in Nashville, and that day remains one of the most memorable in my entire life. I know it's only rock'n'roll, but boy do I like it.
